Why won’t my r/c helicopter fly outside?
I recently bought a Syma Fairy Alertgree 609#
I can control it from 20+ feet away inside my house but when I go outside it wont work unless the remote is within 1/2 foot.
Does anyone know why this happens or how I can fix it?
You have an indoor heli.
It is controlled with and infrared transmitter and receiver.
Inside, where there are walls for the infrared signal to bounce off of, the receiver can distinguish the signal from the background infrared noise.
Outside, without the walls, and with a much larger level of infrared background noise, the signal is swamped, and the heli becomes uncontrollable only a few feet away.
This problem is worse in direct sun, and less at night.
Besides signal problems, you will quickly notice that the very slightest breeze will exceed the capabilities of that heli.
Fly it inside and enjoy!

i’ma looking for the title of the movie with space pirates, think around, 1980s – 1990s, remember watching it when was a little kid. only scene i remember is the protagonist, with this remote control thing, and he’s got to stop this cyborg army. also remember scene where he’s in a ship, filled with a couple of active cyborgs, and lots of dormant ones. he presses the button of the remote, to stop some of them cyborgs, but that button press activated a few other, this cycle goes on, until my memory gives and it starts to get hazy.
pretty sure protagonists were romanticised space pirates, or privateers,. pretty sure too, that movie’s sci-fi, and set in space.
