I have a kyosho drt fairly new,not yet fully broken in and IF i get it started it runs then dies,HELP?
When i was able to keep it fired up it would go from idle to high rpm on it’s own then die out.I reset carb to factory specs,primed,glow plug and glow plug heater work,no air leaks,carbs clean and gets fuel,etc,etc,I don’t get it,can someone help???
It has a hole somewhere,take the tube off the tank and carb,blow in it,cause if it has any kind of release of oxygen,you have a bad fuel tube or a small hole in the tank.Also be sure it’s not gummed up around the throttle return spring,+ check and be sure the carb is ok due to leaks.Then when it’s running be sure to look at the base of the head,if you see little bubbles it may need new gaskets,or a little tweak with a hex wrench.I have 9 nitro powered cars,off and on road so feel free to mail me any time.

Building a radio controlled project requires a huge amount of time and detail when you are putting the pieces together, or even cutting the pieces out to be assembled. Of course, the first thing you need is the raw material that will be used to construct the project. Most radio controlled projects are made out of wood. If your plans don’t call for a specific type, you will have to choose it yourself, which can be tough. Balsa wood is the most popular choice, especially for toy airplanes and helicopters. It is extremely light, while maintaining a good level of solidity. You can build an entire airplane frame out of it, and it will have a minimal amount of flex. IF you are building a larger model of an airplane or other vehicle, then balsa may be too soft, in which case you will want to look for other woods.
The radio and motor equipment is the 2nd most important part. If you are a really enthusiastic radio controlled hobbyist as well as an engineer of some sort, then you may consider making it all out of the various components. It is possible to buy all of the electric components of the radio and motor systems separately. However, if you do this you will have to deal with all of the electrical concepts and parts including transistors, resistors, and all those other things that make it so daunting. There is no shame in buying transmitters or motors pre-assembled and just gluing them wherever they need to go. It will definitely save you some time.

You can buy them for just a few dollars at your local hobby store, or home improvement store.
Depending on the material that you are using to build your project, you will need some type of tack or glue to hold it together. There are many different choices for this area. You can use superglue, wood glue, or epoxy, and each one will hold fairly sturdy. Look up the type of wood or plastic that you are using, and see what type of tack is recommended to fasten it. If you are building a remote control boat or even a submarine, you will have to consider the matter of waterproofing it to avoid ruining the electrical components when you first put it in the water. This is usually accomplished through some sealing putty for cracks and a spray-on sealant to keep the wood from soaking.
At some point you will have to cut all of the wood into the segments that you require to piece together the final product. While it is possible with a handsaw, it is definitely not the best choice. A table saw works best for larger pieces, but for finer details you would be hard pressed to find a better tool than a Dremel Tool. They look like electric toothbrushes, and have quickly rotating heads that can grind away balsa wood in a matter of seconds. They allow for maximum accuracy, whether you are shaping a piece of wood or making holes for wiring.

The v-tail 1600 is a ARR, and is brushless so it will be able to climb higher, the stratus uses a 550 motor and is an RTF, if you wanted a RTF i would recommend the 2000s, kyosho makes great RCs, i have never had a problem with them.

charging time for venom x pack?
I have a brand new venom x pack li po battery and a RC System I-Max B5 Digital Peak Balance Charger and on the instrutions it has no info on what time to charge it
If you can not find the instructions here are some guidelines to help.
On the battery check the capacity (It is indicated in amp/Hour or Mamp/Hour) . On the charger check the maximum charging current.
Divide the capacity by the charging current, and, multiply the result by 1.4. The result will give you the charging time in hours.
Usually the first charge should last 24 hours

Sanibel And Captiva Are Sister Islands With Distinct Differences
It’s an amazing fact of life that two small barrier islands in such proximity can have their own distinct identity. But then again, even “identical” twins can be very different so perhaps it is not so amazing that Sanibel Island and Captiva Island, only minutes from one another, can be compared on their differences.
And people coming to the area should certainly take advantage of the two islands as they both offer something of value.
Sanibel is the larger of the two islands and home to the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge.
Five thousand acres of Sanibel Island are preserved lands. The Refuge was named for J. Norwood Darling, a man who was a Pulitzer prize winning political cartoonist and who used his art to support conservation. For many years, Darling had a winter home in Florida on Captiva Island but it was Sanibel that had the land that was acquired for the Refuge. The Refuge is probably the most distinguishing characteristic of Sanibel Island, as well as its saving grace in the face of any threat of development.
Of course one could stay on Captiva and bike or drive over to the wildlife refuge, but there is something particularly immediate and attractive in staying on Sanibel within an easy walk to the Refuge.
Both Sanibel and Captiva have some great restaurants, but Captiva has a greater feeling of village center. It’s not a large center, but it is a definable geo area, quaint and charming, as opposed to Sanibel where the stores and restaurants are scattered through out the island.
Sanibel offers a greater variety of accommodations and a greater spread in price range. So families, couples or singles seeking lodging will find both less expensive options and more variety in their housing alternatives on Sanibel.
There are more shops and a greater diversity of shops on Sanibel and both of the larger grocery stores, Jerry’s and Bailey’s, are on Sanibel. One charm for Captiva, however, is the easy access to boating adventures.
So before choosing your island, maybe it’s worth weighing the pros and cons of each. Either way, you’ll be happy.
