Traxxas Stampede XL-5 Battery?
Will a Venom 7-Cell 8.4V 5000 mAh hump battery work with my completely stock stampede xl-5?
I also need a really good fast charger that i can get for about 40-50 dollars if you have any suggestions
Yeah, an Xl-5 can handle up to an 8 cell pack.
As for the charger, one of the best is the DuraTrax Onyx 230 though it’s $70. I have the Dynamite Prophet Sport and it’s pretty fast and only $30.

Traxxas stampede problem?
Ok I have a traxxas stampede xl-5 non-waterproof. How can you tell if it is the motor or battery that’s bad? I have a team Orion 17×2 method r motor and a venom 7.2 volt 5000 mah battery. It does run but not for very long. The motor seems to get hot and I can’t do a wheelie or go very fast. I know it getting juice it just doesn’t seem to be working very well or for very long.
