RC boat – Vosper Perkasa electric water jet powered
1/32 vosper hull by Kingston and a gift from Andy MA. After heavy modifications to waterjet powered and 12 subc 2400 cells and a 700 bearing motor. ( Rear end motor bushing also modifified to ball bearing. and a Kmt -waterjet. Location is Victoria Park Hong Kong. 10.6.2008.

Graupner sells model water jet. Mine is with 29mm impeller.
where does one find a water jet? I make my own hulls and would like to make a racer with jet drive.

Get start and do with whatever resourses you are now available. Of course nothing would be perfect for the first time nor the tenth time. There surely would be a great difference.

Build from balsa wood with razor blade and epoxy. Just do it and make things simple.

i was given a model vosper many years ago and re did it as a project with 2x direct drive 12v motors, it was nigh on 4 foot long and made of wood, while it would never match the acceleration of this model it did however sound like a ferrari and had a 18″ rooster tail. it was only the last 12″ of the boat in the water on full power. this vid takes me back to my “more money than brains” days. as the motors were so power hungry it would only last a few minutes… but they were a lot of fun. : )
