whats the best rc brand where i can find parts readily?
wife and the hubby asked:
what is the most reputable brand of rc boats and nitro cars? kyosho, traxas, or smartech racing?
and also, i have a new fully charged 7.2 volt battery that goes around 10 times around a 30 foot circle, shouldn’t it last longer? this is on full speed.

I’d say you would fing more parts for Kyosho. Smartech seems to be a good brand, but I’m not sure how readily available parts are.
Of course it depends on what you’re looking for, off road monster trucks go for Traxxas. for on road cars, buggies, or truggies go for Kyosho. I don’t know enough about rc boats though.
I’d also recommend Thunder Tiger.
As for your battery, you should certainly get more life out of it than that. What capacity is it? The figure will be MAh.
Both Megatech International and CEN Racing are reputable brands for rc boats that I know of. Quick service through any dealer…hobby shop or internet store.
Your battery sounds defective..it isn’t holding a charge if it runs out that quickly. I would return it for a replacement.
Good luck to you!
I would go with Traxxas. They have many cars and replacement parts, not to mention their upgrades. As for boats, the only brand I trust for quality is Aquacraft. They have so many boats to choose from, I can’t imagine somebody not finding a perfect match. About the battery. It’s obviously defective. Even if it was a 7.2V Nimh, it should hold longer than that. If it was a li-po battery, then that’s just unacceptable. Maybe, the motor is too powerful for your motor, and it drained quickly. Then you should stop using the battery, in case of over-drains. Try sending it back to the manufacturer and ask them to take a look at it.
