Probably not but it looks better the weed eater way. Btw nice engine
Heat sink?? I guess you may be talking about the carburetor? The primer bulb should be down, although that’s a pulse type carb, with no bowl, so it should run OK even upside down. Try it, it won’t hurt anything.
