what should i do?rc car battery exploded!?
My battery for my traxxas rustler has exploded. It’s Venom 8.4v 3000mah NiMH Hump Battery-TRX Plug. I had just put it down like the car was in my hands 5 seconds before it exploded. the battery is totally destroyed 2 of the 7cells are not connected to the battery pack and the plastic wrap is burnt. so I don’t know what to do?
It sounds like there was a short across the terminals or, it was over charged. Batteries just don’t explode they have to be shorted out to generate heat to the point that they explode. I’ve had batteries explode but only under the conditions mentioned. You need to take a close look at the wiring, there has to be two wires touching.
