Drug interaction?
Hi there,
I recently found out I have gallstones, and will undergo surgery this Friday to remove my gallbladder.
I asked the doc what to take for the pain in the interim, and she gave me samples of Symax Duotab (Hyoscyamine sulfate). This helped the first time I took it, but now on a Sunday morning when all pharmacies are closed, I am having an episode and this is not helping. 
Does anyone know if Ibuprofin will interfere with this drug? I’ve looked at some websites and can’t see any bad drug-interaction information for this drug, but I’d rather be safe than sorry….
Otherwise, any other ideas as to how to ease the pain?

I have searched several websites and I can’t find any drug interactions or adverse reactions with taking Ibuprofen with Symax Duotab (Hyoscyamine sulfate). I take tylenol with Hyoscyamine (Levsin) with no problems. If you have a Walgreens pharmacy, they are open 24 hours and so are a lot of other pharmacies. You don’t have to have purchased your medications from them, and I’m sure that most pharmacists would be glad to talk with you. (My sister is a pharmacist.) Or, you could call your poison control center for information. Hope your surgery goes well on Friday!
