trouble with kickflips, please help!?
Ok well this is kind of pathetic, I’ve been skateboarding for about 2 years and can do many things except kickflips. I’ve stopped skating 2 times for about a year or so each. The last time I stopped I was able to do varial kickflips but not kickflips. Now when I try to kickflip the board just spins off to the right (I’m regular), almost like half a varial. I think It definitely has to do with my flicking motion, it gets me so frustrated. I’ve landed a kickflip like one time, and the board still rotated to the right. It’s definitely not me scooping the board either. Someone please help!
keep in mind that I have mastered the ollie, I can ollie a four set of stairs.
*I’ve mastered the ollie to the point where my ollie shouldn’t be a problem with kickflips
* landed two today after strenuous practicing. The problem is that the board flips sideways slightly. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY FLICK! it’s making it extremely inconsistent
You’re flicking it to hard, it’s key to flick fast but not hard. I know it’s hard to do but when you flick to hard your board go away from you. I’ve never been real good at heelflips and I still have lots of trouble with them, there are just some tricks out there that you wont be able to do even when everyone still can.
