which is better: lake somerville or Conroe?
conroe is closer by 20 minutes. but we’re lookin for a calm, big lake to go skiing and tubing for the weekend. we want to rent a boat–like pontoon or ski boats…not a canoe or kayak.
what are the pros and cons…
safest…more room and offers…etc.
Conroe has much more boat traffic so if you’re going on a weekend it will not be calm. On the weekdays this is a great lake and you will love it.
if you’re boating outing will be on a weekend, Somerville is the way to go as it is less crowded.
I am not sure about boat rentals on Somerville, it is MUCH less developed.
