Nikkor 50mm F2
Nikkor 50mm F2

Serious question – I have an old mf 50mm f2 nikkor?
It has a little fungus in it and I dont actually want to lens so I’m going to pull it apart just for the fun of it. How hard would you think it would be to put it back together once I’ve cleaned it? Remember, I’m only doing this cos I’m interested in seeing the outcome.
Before you go at this project, remember that the fungus may have eaten coatings on the elements, or even etched the glass itself.
So even if you get the fungus off, there may be permanent damage.
As for getting the lens back together, if you have a digital camera, shoot each step so you have a reference.
Good luck, hope this helps.
