However be aware that this lens will not work with the following cameras due to lake of Auto-focus on the cameras: D40, D40x, D60 and F3. This lens is basically the do-all lens you won’t need anything else unless you need more zoom, you won’t need any of the lenses already mentioned if you sprung for this one.
- Nikon 135mm f/2.0D AF DC-Nikkor Lens this lens is expensive but it’s the best portrait lens made by Nikon if that is your main use for photography this is the only lens you need. It features Defocus Control (DC) which lets you just focus on the subject and blur the background. This lens is on Amazon for $1,389.59.
- Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Nikkor Wide Angle Zoom Lens is big and heavy and works with both DX and FX format cameras but really shines when used with an FX camera. This lens takes very sharp pictures even with it wide open the whole picture is sharp. Amazon has this lens for $1,819.86.
