What lenses do you suggest for my Nikkon D5000?
I’m sick of my current lenses (that comes with the cam), they’re not that good–I want something with higher resolution and detail, plus not so blurry. I’m not interested in taking abstract photos.
If you are using your camera correctly, the lenses (my guess is the 18-55 mm and 55-200 mm lenses) are fully capable of shooting sharp, clear photos of high resolution.
Blur is caused by camera movement, not poor lenses.
High resolution is set in the camera, in your case Large, Fine in your cameras setup menu.
Try that with your perfectly fine lenses and see what happens.
Yes, you can spend over $800 and buy a single 18-200 mm lens to cover the same field of view as those you have already.
Or you can pay over $1,000 per lens and buy a combination of a 12-24 mm, 24-70 mm and 70-200 mm lenses which will be a tiny bit sharper and all faster than your current lenses. It is up to you, but with proper technique, you can take perfectly fine images with what you have
