I have and overnight layover @ Nikko Narita hotel, what is the closest mall to that location?
TRANSPORTATION TO THE MALL?
In Narita there is a shopping center area tha has an Aeon-Jusco a Sports Authority and sevaral other shops. You can probably take a taxi to this area from your hotel. If you have more time, you can go to La La Port in Chiba. La La Port is a huge American style mall. It has both western and Japanese brand stores. Take the Narita Express to Chiba and then transfer to the JR Keio line. Get off at Minamu Funabashi Station. The mall is huge.
My suggestion:
If you really have time or want to see a tiny bit of Tokyo, take the Narita Express into Shinjuku or Shibuya and shop and sight see all night long. Both places never sleep.
BTW, I live in Tokyo near both Shinjuku and Shibuya. I think you should check into your hotel. Take a taxi back to the airport or to Narita city and take the train into Shinbuya. You can have agreat time. Who needs sleep? You have the airplane to sleep in.
