fibreglass smoothing help?

I have jusrt made a hull for a rc boat out of polystyrene and have coated it in 2 layers of 450 g chop strand fibreglass and now i want to make the hull smooth. i have seen something rubbed over fibreglass before and then sanded smooth but i need something that can go underwater and possibly painted.

    You can use “body filler’ available at any good auto parts store. Fits all your requirements.

    If have some epoxy left over from your project there is a filler (micro-balloons) you can add. Go to west system.com for more info. Use light weight filler, easier to sand. If not I would use Duraglass, found at auto parts stores. Good luck.
