Food Dehydrators: More Than Just Jerky

Oblivion for PC. Funky Problems?
I have Oblivion for PC. I just reinstalled it after formatting my drives and reinstalling windows. Now I have a p4 3.2 GHZ, with a Excalibur RAdeon 9550 Card, 1024 megs of ram. For some reason its not always played with the best of graphics but im passed that.
My problem is that in the begining when your with the emperor and the blades and your in the imperial subterrain, and the mythic dawn agents are attacking, when they die, instead of seeing a modest bloodbath, i just see a Spherical black void, as they transform into their original clothing. This never happened before… and besides running on a new hard drive, there have been no hardware changes since i last played this game.
I have updated drivers, Ive got no errors, Ive covered all the obveous things to check, I cant seem to find an option to help me change it… Anyone have a clue?
Maybe you just need a better graphics card. I know that my games do strange things if my card isn’t up to par. It doesn’t always react the same way, so if you had ‘problems’ with your video before that could be why.
